What it means
Classical penalty — Venus's natural significations (love, marriage, arts, comfort) are weakened when she sits in her 'death house'. Manifests as marital strain, love-loss cycles, difficulty enjoying comforts, or arts-through-service (workaholic artist). Compound reading required. This is a pattern named in the classical texts. It is not a verdict, and many people who have it live happily.
