Shankha Yoga

Classical definition: If the lord of Lagna is strong and the lords of Putra and Ari Bhava are in mutual Kendras, Shankha Yoga is produced. Alternatively, if the lord of Lagna with the lord of Karma is in a Movable rashi while the lord of Dharma is strong, Shankha Yoga is obtained. In modern terms: Either pattern is enough. Pattern one: the planet that rules the 1st house is strong, and the planets that rule the 5th and 6th houses are in the 4th, 7th or 10th house from each other. Pattern two: the planets that rule the 1st and 10th houses are together in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, and the planet that rules the 9th house is strong. A planet is strong when its Shadbala ratio is above 1 (its strength is more than the minimum it needs) and it is not debilitated.
