Classical definition: The verse gives two forms of Chamara Yoga. In the second form, two benefics are in Lagna, Dharma, Karma or Yuvati Bhava. In modern terms: At least two benefic planets are together in the 1st, 7th, 9th or 10th house. The first form of the verse (the Lagna lord exalted in a Kendra and aspected by Jupiter) is a separate rule on this page, Chaamara Yoga. Benefics are Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and the waxing Moon. Malefics are the Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. Houses are counted from the rising sign (Lagna): the 1st house is the rising sign itself.
