Saturn in the 9th house: Keeping beliefs within an established set of principles

What it means
A belief may carry weight because it belongs to an established teaching. You might look to an accepted text, a recognised teacher or a familiar set of principles when deciding how a practice should be followed. Keeping the explanation consistent can matter more than trying out a new interpretation.
This can apply beyond religion. A political philosophy or another system of thought may also be approached through its stated rules. For example, you might return to the same principle when considering several different cases, rather than make an exception for each one.
The difficulty can be revising the view once it has become established. A different explanation may be hard to accommodate when it changes the rule you have been following.
