Mercury in Aquarius: Testing assumptions by looking at a system differently

What it means
You may become interested in the assumption behind a familiar method. Asking whether another arrangement could work, comparing systems or considering an unusual explanation can open a subject for you. An accepted answer may feel less convincing when it cannot account for an exception you have noticed.
A group discussion can provide useful material for this kind of thinking. You might connect ideas from different people, share a new tool or question a convention others have stopped examining. Having room to disagree can matter because you want participation to include independent thought rather than only a common conclusion.
Learning may involve looking beyond the usual source of an explanation. You may enjoy unfamiliar approaches or methods of communication, especially when they reveal a different way to organise information. Interest in an alternative does not necessarily mean that you have accepted it; comparing it can be part of testing the original account.
An abstract explanation can become less useful in a personal conversation. You may discuss how a situation works in general while someone is asking about what it means between the two of you. A broad principle can leave their immediate concern unanswered even when the reasoning itself is clear.
