Mars in Sagittarius: Working toward a purpose that is hard to compromise

A purpose may give your effort a definite direction. You might choose an activity because it follows a belief, put energy into a cause or keep working toward something you consider important. The action can be closely connected with a personal principle.

Once that direction is chosen, persuasion may have little effect. You might continue with the plan, carry out a stated intention or remain firm about the view behind it. A competing argument can leave the original commitment largely unchanged.

Compromise may then be difficult. You might resist changing the method, keep pressing for the chosen outcome or find a refusal hard to accept. The difficulty concerns adjusting the pursuit while still feeling strongly attached to its purpose.
